The airline Azores Airlines has created two new connections: between Funchal and Boston, and between Funchal and Toronto, which will not interfere with flights between Funchal and New York and with Canada.
The airline Azores Airlines announced this Thursday two new direct connections between Madeira (Funchal) and North America (Boston and Toronto), between June and September of next year, whose flights “are now available in the system.”
The airline indicated in a statement sent to the Lusa agency that the two new direct connections will be made between Funchal and Boston (United States of America) and between Funchal and Toronto (Canada). The new air connections “add to the connection between Funchal and New York, a commitment to excellent results”, it reads. Azores Airlines states that “it will maintain the current offer of direct flights between Funchal and New York, as well as flights to Canada (Toronto) with a stopover in Ponta Delgada [Açores]”.
“Direct flights between Funchal and Boston and Funchal and Toronto begin in June and last until September,” he stressed. According to Azores Airlines, “Flights are now available in the system. and tickets can be purchased at the airline’s points of sale (physical and online) and in travel agencies.
The president of the SATA Group, Teresa Gonçalves, who recently visited the Madeira archipelago, highlighted in the statement that “the reinforcement of air operations between North America and Madeira follows the success of the existing connection with New York.”
Teresa Gonçalves also highlighted the success of the air operation between the two Portuguese archipelagos, pointing out that, this year, the Azores Airlines operation between Madeira and the Azores “is being extremely positive.” “The commitment to direct flights between Madeira and North America is due to the success of the operation between New York and Funchal,” said Teresa Gonçalves.
Azores Airlines is an airline that belongs to the SATA group and whose activity consists of regular air transportation to and from the Azores archipelago. The company is part of the SATA Holding, which also includes SATA Air Açores, founded in 1941 and offering connections between the islands of the Azores, and SATA Aerodromos, which manages four of the five airports in the Azores.
“Azores Airlines operates a scheduled network of destinations between the Azores and North America, Europe and the archipelagos of the Azores, Madeira and Cape Verde,” according to the company.
