The GNR of Amarante arrested, on Saturday, two men suspected of having committed automobile-related crimes, including theft and computer fraud, and it was possible to recover two vehicles, the authority reported this Thursday.
In a statement, the GNR states that the suspects, ages 29 and 34, allegedly stole and used vehiclesin addition to assumptions computer fraud practice Is license plate counterfeiting.
The vehicles were allegedly stolen in several locations in the north and center of the country.

The military carried out two home searches and two vehicle searches, resulting in the seizure and recovery of various materials, namely four vehicles.
Two of these cars had been stolen on October 15 and December 10, 2023, in the towns of Vidago (Chaves, Vila Real district) and Sever do Vouga (Aveiro district), respectively.
The GNR also confiscated three mobile phones, six fake license platesclothing, various documents, two cameras, a tool box, a bag with tennis rackets, twenty batteries, two animal collars, a machete and 100 euros in cash.
In addition to those arrested, a third suspect, 44 years old, was charged.
The accused, 34 years old, will await the judicial process in preventive detention until an electronic bracelet is placed on him.
The 29-year-old suspect was ordered to appear periodically at the police station in his area of residence and to prohibit contact with the other defendants.
