Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Friday he is working on a new plan to end the war in Ukraine while continuing to build up his military presence to force Russia to agree to a “just peace.”

Ukraine has already proposed a ten-point peace plan, supported by the West, for 2022, the year of its invasion by Russia, which involves the unconditional withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukrainian territory.
In mid-June, a peace summit was also held in Switzerland, at the initiative of Ukraine, from which Russia was excluded. Dozens of countries supported kyiv’s efforts, but several major powers abstained and others, led by China, did not attend.
