Ukrainian president calls on Western countries to speed up arms deliveries to kyiv

The latest Russian attacks took place on Saturday against a city in the Zaporizhia region and villages in the Donetsk region in southern and eastern Ukraine, causing 11 deaths.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on his Western allies to “speed up” the supply of weapons to kyiv forces following deadly new attacks by Russia. “The decisions we need must be accelerated. “Any delay in decisions in this war means the loss of human life,” Zelensky defended, calling for the delivery of weapons to “destroy Russian missile launchers.”

The latest Russian attacks took place on Saturday against a city in the Zaporizhia region and villages in the Donetsk region in southern and eastern Ukraine, causing 11 deaths.

Moscow has attacked Zaporizhia and neighboring cities several times since its offensive in Ukraine began in 2022, but in recent weeks it has focused its efforts mainly on the east of the country rather than the south.
