The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Monday that, under the direction of its secret services, it attacked an Islamic Jihad missile production facility in a tunnel under a neighborhood in the city of Rafah, in Gaza.
“Forces have located in the Gaza Strip the largest underground facility for the production of rocket parts and long-range missiles belonging to Palestinian Islamic Jihad,” according to an Israeli army statement, which also included images of the site.
According to the Israeli army, soldiers engaged in combat with Islamist militants, both above ground and underground.
