    According to The Times of Israel, the Israeli military also said it had killed dozens of Hezbollah fighters following the clashes.

    Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assured that the “final decisions” on retaliation against Iran will be made based on Israel’s needs.

    The assurance was dropped hours after The Washington Post reported that the Israeli government informed the Biden administration that it was willing to attack Iranian military forces instead of oil and nuclear plants. The same newspaper indicated that Israel’s retaliation should occur before the North American elections, which will take place on November 5.

    “We listen to the thoughts of the American government, but we will make our final decisions based on Israel’s national security needs,” reads a statement issued by Netanyahu’s office following the Washington Post story, cited by The Times of Israel.
