Xi Jinping will participate in the BRICS summit in Russia
Chinese President Xi Jinping confirmed that he will participate in the BRICS summit to be held in Russia next week. The information was provided by a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hua Chunying.
“At the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, President Xi Jinping will participate in the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, from October 22 to 24,” indicated the same source.
The BRICS is an intergovernmental organization founded by Brazil, Russia, India and China, later joined by South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates.

Ukraine shoots down 80 Russian drones
The Ukrainian Air Force reported through the Telegram social network that it destroyed 80 Russian drones that were flying over Ukrainian airspace since last night.
