Israel attacks UN Secretary General again

“Just as he refused to declare Hamas a terrorist organization after the October 7 massacre, Guterres pursues an extremely anti-Israel agenda,” said the Israeli Foreign Minister.

The Israeli Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, attacked the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, again this Friday for “not showing satisfaction with the elimination of the arch-terrorist Yahya Sinwar.”

“Just as he refused to declare Hamas a terrorist organization after the October 7 massacre, Guterres pursues an extremely anti-Israel and anti-Jewish agenda.”the governor wrote on his social media account unknown.

Sinwar’s death occurred on Wednesday, in a chance encounter between Israeli troops and militias in Rafah, south of the Palestinian enclave. According to the army, no hostages were found with Yahya Sinwar.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs took advantage of his message to reaffirm that Guterres continues to be designated “persona non grata” in Israel, which prohibits his entry into the country.

On October 2, Katz announced that they had decided to declare the UN Secretary General ‘persona non grata’ for not “unequivocally” condemning the attack that Iran launched against Israel the previous day, with almost 200 ballistic missiles.

“Anyone who cannot unequivocally condemn Iran’s heinous attack on Israel does not deserve to set foot on Israeli soil. “This is an anti-Israel general secretary who supports terrorists, rapists and murderers,” Katz warned in a statement released at the time.

Guterres, in turn, sent a message of gratitude this Thursday to the personnel of the United Nations Interim Force for Lebanon (UNIFIL) and warned that attacking these troops “may constitute a war crime.”

“Attacks against United Nations peacekeepers are completely unacceptable. “They violate international law and international humanitarian law and may constitute a war crime,” he warned, after at least five soldiers were injured in attacks by Israeli troops.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel does “everything possible” to prevent harm to peacekeepers, but that the best way to avoid these incidents is to remove them from the territory, which would require a decision by the Security Council.
