At least 111 people were killed in continued attacks by the Israeli army on Sunday in several areas of the Gaza Strip, especially in the north of the enclave, according to a new report.
Local sources told the WAFA news agency that the most violent shelling took place in central and northern Gaza, with a total of ten attacks in which the army used tons of explosives against residential buildings, schools and shelters for displaced people.
Of the 111 fatalities, 72 died in the Al Shati refugee camp, in Gaza City, and in Beit Lahia, in the north of the territory.
An initial assessment pointed to at least 56 deaths.
