Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that in late 2021 and early 2022, Iran will pay off part of its debt to Russia for the construction of the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
“The construction of the second and third phases of the Bushehr plant was discussed. (And the dates) according to the contract do not change. We also discussed the issue of payment. There are payments at the end of last year and at the beginning of this year as well. There are dynamics, but the debt is still there, so the discussion and implementation of this issue will continue ”.
And the media reported in the middle of last year that Iran’s debt to Russia in exchange for the construction of the Bushehr nuclear power plant reached approximately 500 million euros.
Rosatom Corporation is building the second phase of the Bushehr plant (the second and third units), which will have a total capacity of 2.1 thousand megawatts.
