Russia’s budget surplus for the first five months of the year is 1.495 trillion rubles.

The estimates of the Russian Ministry of Finance revealed the fulfillment of federal budget obligations in the period from January to May with a surplus of 1.495 trillion rubles.

The volume of revenues received in the period from January to May amounted to 12.043 trillion rubles, or 48.1% of the total volume of federal budget revenues approved in accordance with the Budget Law for the current year. At the same time, oil and gas revenues amounted to 5,658 trillion rubles, and non-oil and gas revenues – 6,385 trillion rubles. Budget expenditures were executed in the amount of 10,547 trillion rubles, which is 44.5 percent of the total approved expenditures for the current year or 41.5 percent of the list of the consolidated federal budget, taking into account the changes made.

The Federal Tax Service transferred 8,348 trillion rubles to the budget over five months, or 49.7 percent of the forecast indicators of income for 2022, and the Federal Customs Service – 3.1 trillion rubles, or 49.8% of the forecast indicators for this year. Other federal departments transferred 595.137 billion rubles to the treasury during this period, or 29.6% of the budget forecast for 2022.
