The artist, Lizzo, released a song for her 4 days ago on June 10th on YouTube titled “Grrls”.

The song had close to 450,000 views, and in return received violent criticism from fans for some of the song’s lyrics, which they considered offensive.
Lizzo decided to change some of the words that may have offended the special needs society, specifically the word “Spas”, and came out with a post on her official page on a social networking site, apologizing and explaining her personal suffering as a dark and obese woman and the bullying to which she was subjected.
The post read: “It has been brought to my attention that there is an offensive word in my new song ‘GRRRLS’.
“Let me make one thing clear: I never want to promote offensive language,” he continued. “As a fat black woman in America, a lot of hateful words have been used against me, so I understand the power these words can have (both on purpose and in my case unintentionally). I’m proud to say there’s a new version from GRRRLS with a lyrical twist.”
“It is the result of listening and acting,” he concluded. “As an influential artist, I have dedicated myself to being a part of the change I hoped to see in the world.”
One follower wrote to Lizzo: “I have my disability and cerebral palsy is literally classified as spastic hemiplegia (spasticity refers to endless painful tightness in the leg) your new song makes me angry and sad.” “Spaz doesn’t mean the person is upset or crazy. It’s pure slander. It’s 2022. Do better.”
Later, a social media user thanked Lizzo after the Grammy winner announced that she had reworked the song, calling Lizzo a “true ally.”
