Scotland’s First Minister announces new campaign to demand Scotland’s independence from England

Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, has announced the start of a new campaign to call for a new popular referendum for Scotland’s separation from England.

“After all that has happened, Brexit and Boris Johnson, it’s time to put on a different and better perspective,” Sturgeon told reporters at his official residence in Edinburgh.

“Are we still sticking to a British economic model that teaches us relatively poor economic and social outcomes that are likely to be worse than better outside the European Union? Or are we looking at things with hope and optimism and being inspired by the likes of European countries? ”

In the social media campaign launched after the speech, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Ireland were among the countries presented as examples of European countries that survived similar problems such as Scotland during the Kovid pandemic, but emerged with more positive economic expectations.

This request remains in line with Britain’s constitutional tradition, which is subject to the approval of Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
