The price of electricity fell 2.6% this Friday in the regulated market, after the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) approved this reduction in June.
Thus, it indicated in a statement at the time, “for consumers who remain in the regulated market (921 thousand customers representing 6% of total consumption) or who, being in the free market, have opted for a similar rate, the variation in sale rates End Customers in Normal Low Voltage (BTN) proposal corresponds to a reduction” of 2.6%, “in relation to the values currently in force”.
Secondly, “Compared to the average price of 2021, consumers see an increase of 1.1% in the final sale price in 2022 (Prices in 2022 are part of the tariff decision of January 2022, the quarterly review that was carried out on April 1, 2022 and the prices in force as of July 1, 2022).
According to the regulator, domestic electricity consumers observe, therefore, in five years, an accumulated reduction of 3.7% in the final price.
For their part, “consumers with a social rate continue to benefit from a 33.8% discount on sales rates to end customers.”
