General Motors (GM) unveiled the Cadillac Celestiq, an electric vehicle worth nearly $300,000, on Friday.
GM has not announced a start date for production, CNN reported on Sunday:
While Cadillac has had many beautiful concept cars in recent years with rare and exotic materials, such as the Cadillac Sixteen with its big petrol engine and the Elmiraj with its “hand-selected fallen Brazilian rosewood” interior. The Celestiq was the first car to go into production. It came shortly after the brand launched its first electric car, the Cadillac Lyriq. Cadillac will be one of the first luxury brands to switch to fully electric vehicles by 2030.
The footage showed a luxury car with screens mounted behind the front seats and a red interior:
According to CNN, the Celestiq will be built at the company’s Technical Center in Warren, Michigan.
“The Celestiq uses technologies already available in other Cadillac models, such as Super Cruise, GM’s hands-free highway driving system. It also has a 55-inch screen and a glass roof that can be dimmed to different colors in each of the four different zones.
CELESTIQ was born, bringing to life the purest expression of Cadillac design and innovation. The defining expression of a true Cadillac flagship. See for yourself here: https://t.co/vf5AmcmKRv #CELESTIC #BeIconic pic.twitter.com/xe3pS8PQvx

GM announced in August that it is recalling its Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles globally due to problems with lithium-ion batteries and concerns that other vehicles could catch fire, Breitbart News reported.
At the time, the company advised customers to leave the car outside after charging and not leave it on charge overnight.
In June, the Biden administration’s push for more citizens to drive electric cars faced a dilemma as electric vehicle prices soared last year, according to the latest data.
According to Breitbart News, the price hike promised to “double up” on its move for clean energy, following President Joe Biden’s call in March for Americans to buy electric cars to avoid high gasoline prices.
