Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa Industrial City said it would build the facility on a 25,000-square-meter facility and that the electric vehicle company Smart Electricity Company (NWTN) would operate it and conduct production, research, development and testing.

“The attraction of electric vehicle manufacturers to Abu Dhabi will play an important role in securing the economic vision of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi,” said Mohammed Juma Al Shamsi, Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, which owns Khalifa Industrial City. statement.

In accordance with the agreement, the annual production capacity of SZTS at the initial stage will be from 5,000 to 10,000 units of incomplete electric vehicles, that is, at the stage of pre-assembly and operational preparation. In the second phase, the company plans to introduce a number of new models and models of electric vehicles and increase the capacity to 50,000 units annually.
