Elon Musk decided to make a U-turn and return to the initial plan: buy Twitter for the round value of 44 billion dollars.

But on Tuesday, Musk surprised the market by resurrecting the pitch he first made to Twitter in April, including the value: the exact same $54.2 per share, for a total of $44 billion. Everything will have been done through a letter, sent by Musk’s lawyers to the company. The richest man in the world and his partners “intend to proceed with the conclusion of the contemplated transaction on April 25, 2022, the merger agreement, on the terms and subject to the conditions defined,” quoted Bloomberg.
