US competition wants to stop Microsoft’s purchase of Activision

The Federal Trade Commission of the United States (FTC) announced today that it will try to prevent the purchase of Activision Blizzard, one of the largest video game companies in the world, by Microsoft, an operation valued at 69,000 million dollars.

According to the FTC, the US competition authority, the purchase could harm consumers as it would allow Microsoft to keep important video game titles developed by Activision, such as “Warcraft”, “Call of Duty” or “Candy Crush”.
