Greenvolt, a renewable energy company led by João Manso Neto, increased the financing obtained from a syndicate of creditors from 350 to 400 million euros.
The company had announced to the market on October 1 that it had obtained financing of 350 million euros.
Now, in a statement sent to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM), the company reveals that this loan has amounted to 400 million euros, justifying this increase with “the high interests observed among the financial, banking and institutional community.”
Initially, the syndicate consisted of one institutional investor and five banks. With this reinforcement of financing, this operation now has “a total of eight different international entities,” explains the renewable energy company.
The 400 million euros will serve, according to Greenvolt, to strengthen the group’s balance sheet and “accelerate the development of its 9.3 GW portfolio of wind, solar and Utility Scale battery projects.”
In the statement sent to the capital market regulator, João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt, highlights the expansion of the company’s financing capacity: “he highlights the benefits of having KKR as a reference shareholder, which allows us to expand our reach within the financial community.”
