Yesterday a massive concert was held in front of Buckingham Palace to celebrate the platinum jubilee of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne of the United Kingdom.
Millions of people around the world watched the ceremony, and thousands of Britons and fans of the royal family were present in the courtyard of the palace.
The legendary performance of the international Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, who sang the song “Nessun Dorma” with great meaning, and who published a video clip of his performance on his official page on a social network, as well as photographs with some of the stars of the concert, featured at the ceremony.
Famous singer Diana Ross and Queen were among the top stars who also sang for Queen Elizabeth, and Queen opened the concert with the song “We Will Rock You” in front of the Victoria Memorial, outside Buckingham Palace.
Participating artists include: Sam Ryder, Diversity Band, Sir Rod Stewart, who gave a lively performance after persuading him to sing the song from singer Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline. He also joined Duran Duran’s band, guitarist Neil Rodgers and rapper M Banks when they played their famous 1986 song “Ntorius.”
