In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of Brazil’s Independence and in honor of many workers such as domestic servants, nurses, waiters and bus collectors, muralist Eduardo Kobra is exhibiting 30 panels with his work on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo.
this Kobra said that these workers made their lives a real work of art and that’s why he decided to turn them into paintings.
“They are the real engine of the country. “They’re the ones who wake up at 5 or 6 a.m. every day, work, fight, and have very important stories,” he said.
The panels are mounted on the Paulista bike lane. Below each piece is information about Cobra’s inspiration for each painting.
“200 Years of Independence and Us Workers” exhibition will be open until May 31
