He said basic human rights were “suddenly erased” by what he called politically motivated judges.
The show will air on CBS for a week special from London Thursday, marking the first stage in the capital in three years.
The former Londoner criticized the judges in a promotional video uploaded to a YouTube account, adding her voice to other members of the entertainment industry’s elite, saying her decisions “put the lives of millions and millions of women at risk”.
“We are back in the dark ages in the country that Americans dream of – in the land of the free, in a country that prides itself on defending human liberties – when the court has imposed a minority view on the politics of the country over the decades come,” the talk show host said.
“He still has a hard time knowing that,” said Corden, who raised his family in the United States.
“To say I’m angry and devastated is an understatement,” she complained. “It’s incomprehensible that we’re saying out loud that in 2022 women should have the right to control their lives and bodies, especially if they live in a country that won’t allow it.”
The Late Late Show will be filmed this week at Freemason’s Hall in London.
