water man Actress Amber Heard is filing a formal appeal against Johnny Depp’s libel conviction after failing to get a $10 million decision in favor of Depp from a Virginia judge.
“We believe the Court has made mistakes that prevent a fair and just decision consistent with the First Amendment. That’s why we’re appealing the decision,” Heard’s spokesperson told TMZ. “While we understand filing today will set the fire on Twitter, we still need to take steps to ensure justice and equality.”

Earlier this month, Hurd filed a new lawsuit, alleging that one of the jurors had actually appeared in court when his father received a subpoena from the jury. However, the judge rejected the request.
“The jury listened to the extensive evidence presented during the six-week trial and came to a clear and unanimous decision that the defendants had repeatedly defamed Mr. Division We trust our case and this verdict will stand,” Depp’s spokesperson told TMZ.
Depp allegedly sued Heard for $50 million in 2018 Washington post An article in which she described herself as a victim of domestic violence ruined her film career.
The trial ended with the jury in favor of Depp on all three counts of defamation, awarding him $10 million in damages after finding Heard defamed him and “acted in bad faith.”
The jury also awarded the actor $2 million in damages in one of Heard’s two cases.
Heard is now said to have “lost himself” after spending heavily, and now the legal fees are rising, with lawyer Elaine Charleson Bredehoft saying the actress “absolutely failed to repay” the millions owed to her ex-husband. .
Additionally, Hurd currently owns insurance company New York Marine and General Insurance Co. and claims that the insurance policy does not cover any of the $8.3 million in damages owed to Depp.
