reputed Top Chef Star Howard Kleinberg died Friday after suffering a heart attack. 46 years old.
The son of Kleinberg, Florida, who owns Bulldog Barbecue in North Miami, was born in Miami and attended culinary school at the University of Johnson and Wales. And one of his first jobs was at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Miami. Miami Messenger aforementioned.

Kleinberg’s mother, Susan, thanked many people who said Howie was important to them.
“I just want to know how many lives he touched,” he told reporters. reporter. “Married to his passion in life, cooking.
After working as a chef for a few years, Kleinberg had great success when he was cast as the “tough guy” in the series’ third season. Top Chef During this time he earned the nickname “Bulldog”, which he would later use for his restaurant.
Kleinberg only finished seventh in season three Top Chef. But he used this fame to start his career in earnest and became a popular and integral part of the Miami food scene.
Unfortunately, the Kleinberg family has heart problems. The newspaper added that the chief’s own father died of a heart attack at a young age. Kleinberg’s father died at the age of 34 when the chief candidate was just six years old.
According to Chief’s obituary, Howie is survived by his mother, Susan Kleinberg Ratner, stepfather Ken Ratner, and sister Amy (William) Wildstein.
