Ricky Martin filed a $20 million lawsuit against his 21-year-old nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sánchez, who accused the artist of sexually assaulting him, according to documents obtained by the New York Police Department.

TMZ, which was first to report the news, noted that Martin, 50, filed a lawsuit Wednesday in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
A month after Sánchez withdrew the restraining order against Ricky, the latter alleged that Sánchez began sending him messages through the social network, threatening to “murder his reputation and integrity” if he did not pay the required amount.
Martín affirms in his case that Sánchez, whom he described as an “inappropriate person”, bragged about being his nephew and sent him text messages up to 10 times a day for four months.
Martin’s lawsuit follows a legal battle that began in July, when a San Juan judge issued a protection order in favor of the artist’s nephew after accusing him of harassment, a charge that Martin refuted and dismissed.
