The new Kalorama festival, announced in November last year and with its first edition scheduled for September 1, 2 and 3 in Lisbon, already has an official sponsor and has added eleven more musicians and bands to its lineup. The information is given by the organization in a press release.
The lineup, which already included names like The Chemical Brothers, Kraftwerk, James Blake and Moderat (performing on the first day of the festival, September 1) and Arctic Monkeys (performing on the 2nd), is joined by 11 artists and bands.
They are the British dance music duo Disclosure (they perform on the third day, September 3), the singer and songwriter Jessie Ware, the Brazilian Marina Sena, the British band Crawlers, the American singer and songwriter Jake Shears (vocalist of the Scissor Sisters) and the Portuguese Bruno Pernadas, Club Makumba, D’Alva, Fred, Xinobi and Golden Slumbers.
This will be the sixth performance in Portugal by Disclosure, an electronic music duo made up of British brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence who had already been at Optimus Alive! and NOS Alive!, respectively in 2013 and 2015, and Super Bock Super Rock, in 2014, 2016 and 2019. Since their last presentation in the country, they have released the album Energy.
The festival, which will officially be called MEO Kalorama, will take place in Parque da Bela Vista, occupying the same geographic space as Rock in Rio Lisboa. The organization also adds that as of May 26, daily tickets can be purchased for the festival, which will also have general tickets for sale for the three days.
