Andrea Bocelli gives two concerts at the Altice Arena in Lisbon in 2023

The Italian tenor and composer Andrea Bocelli will perform at the Altice Arena in Lisbon on June 30 and July 1, 2023, in two “unpublished” concerts, in which he will be accompanied by an orchestra and a choir.

“After having sold out the Altice Arena in 2017, and the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra in 2021, in the first post-pandemic concert held in Portugal in a stadium, Andrea Bocelli returns to make contact with the Portuguese public and promises a special night full of emotions strong, on a sublime journey to the tune of their world-renowned hits,” read a statement released today.

According to the promoter of the event, Memories of Tomorrow (MOT), the music producer will also take the stage with an orchestra “made up of outstanding musicians” and a choir “made up of dozens of voices.”

Andrea Bocelli has sold more than 90 million albums in nearly 30 years, making him one of the most respected musicians in history. The Italian has already performed at major international events, such as the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Turin, in 2006, and the opening of the European Football Championship, in 2020, which took place in various cities on the continent.

The renowned tenor has a Golden Globe, seven Classical BRIT and seven World Music Awards, as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Andrea Bocelli thus returns to Portugal after playing at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra on June 25 and 26, 2021, after having sold out the Altice Arena in Lisbon in 2017.

The Italian tenor’s performance in Coimbra was scheduled for 2020, but the concert was postponed to June last year due to the covid-19 pandemic. Tickets are on sale at www.concertocoimbra.pt and in the usual places.
