Classic police officers like “Maigret and Dead Girl”, with Gérard Depardieu in the role of the immortal policeman created by Georges Simenon, the suspense the Iranian social drama “Holy Spider”, the Irish drama “The Spirits of Inisherin”, twice awarded at the Venice Film Festival, “The Whale”, with an unrecognizable Brendan Fraser, the Portuguese “A Noiva”, by Sérgio Tréfaut, and “Great Yarmouth -Provisional Figures”, by Marco Martins, and, of course, the fifth adventure of Indiana Jones, our favorite archaeologist, in “Indiana Jones and the Marker of Destiny”, are on this list of 12 premieres that we will be able to see in theaters until the end of June 2023.

Georges Simenon’s Inspector Maigret, now (very well) played by Gérard Depardieu, has two major concerns in this film directed by veteran Patrice Leconte: the doctor’s ban on smoking his indispensable pipe; and the resolution of the intriguing case of the girl of modest appearance and without any identification, who was found murdered, dressed in an expensive dress, in a small square in Paris.
