Jessica Pratt will be at the second edition of Vale Perdido in November in Lisbon

“Now we return to Vale Perdido with the desire to share new music, celebrating heroes, challenging musicians we admire to perform in other registers and in new spaces,” said programmers Sérgio Hydalgo, Joaquim Quadros and Gustavo Blanco in a statement.

The second edition of this musical programme is scheduled for 13-16 November in venues such as the Ismaili cultural and religious centre, Armazém do Grilo, B.Leza, the boxing ring in the Cosmos space and the Sala Lisa, on Rua das Gaivotas.

This year, Vale Perdido will feature more than a dozen performances, including that of the North American author Jessica Pratt, in B.Leza, where she will present the album Here in the countrysideof this year.

Palestinians Maia al Khaldi, Saouna and Dina Mimi will pass through the Ismaili Center.

The Americans PURELINK will perform at Sala Lisa, Elena Colombi at Armazém do Grilo and Banda Sousa, “representative of funaná Kotxi Pó”, will be in the boxing ring.

In 2023, during the first edition of Vale Perdido, Sérgio Hydalgo told Lusa news agency that the idea was “to share and present music that was eclectic, that in terms of style was quite complete, but that had the common denominator of being quite adventurous.”

“The desire to be able to present these proposals: new albums, national premieres, unusual collaborations, made us believe that it was urgent to be able to create this new place of exchange and celebration of music that is Vale Perdido,” said Sérgio Hydalgo.
