Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison is on his way to campaigning for national elections this Saturday, and like all politicians, the leader of the conservative coalition wants to impress.
But not like that.
Morrison was caught Wednesday for accidentally attacking an eight-year-old boy at a football game during a campaign visit to Devonport, Tasmania.
The Prime Minister lost his balance while attending a practice match at Devonport Strikers Football Club and collided with young forward Luca Fowett in a rugby-like fight.
Luka was not shocked and quickly declined before continuing the game.
“Something like a rugby team,” Morrison pleaded as he helped the boy to his feet.
Morrison revealed in a Facebook post Wednesday night that he spoke to Luca and his mother, Ali, to see if he was “in good shape.”
“Hold on to young Luke for being a great athlete,” he wrote.

“You may have seen we had a bit of a shootout at club practice tonight at Devonport Strikers Football Club in Tasmania.
“I spoke to Luke and his mother Ali tonight to check on him and he is fine.
It’s great to talk to him about his love of football and to hear that he has scored three hat-tricks in his promising career.”
Liberal Party leader Morrison is currently competing head-to-head with the left-wing opposition Labor Party, led by Anthony Albanese, as the 2022 election campaign enters its final days.
