Democrat-ruled Chicago, Los Angeles and New York are leading the city’s housing decline, according to US Census Bureau estimates released Thursday.
Data shows that eight of the 10 largest cities in the US will lose population by mid-2021.
Specifically, between July 2020 and July 2021, New York lost more than 305,000 people, while Chicago and Los Angeles were infected by 45,000 residents and 40,000, respectively.
The 15 largest cities remained the same in 2020, but more than half the population fell between 2020 and 2021: New York, NY (-305.465); Los Angeles, California (-40,537); Chicago, Illinois (-45,175); Houston, Texas (-11,777); Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (-24,754); San Diego, California (-3783); Dallas, Texas (-14,777); San Jose, California (-27,419); and Indianapolis, Indiana (-5,343).
While San Francisco isn’t one of the top 10 cities, the city run by Democrats has seen nearly 55,000 residents, or 6.3 percent of its population, leave by 2020, the highest percentage of any city in the United States.

According to population estimates for 2021, only San Antonio and Phoenix among the 10 largest cities in the US receive new residents, each adding about 13,000 people, or less than one percent of their population.
The causes of population change differ in each city due to the cumulative effect of housing, employment, birth and death costs. The report highlights that the most recent removals took place during a coronavirus pandemic, but other factors were occurring.
As Breitbart News reports, downtown crime is a common factor in major cities across America, and the issues around Chicago illustrate just how widespread the problem of violence is.

Republican senators held a press conference on Capitol Hill earlier this year to highlight how rising crime and murder across the country is tied to “soft on crime” policies in cities ruled by Democrats.
“Crime is on the rise across the country,” Senator Ted Cruz (D-Texas) said at a press conference. “The murder rate is increasing. The number of attacks is increasing. The number of car thefts is increasing.”
“The crime we see in this country is a direct result of the Democrats’ crime reduction policies,” Cruz said.
Overall, the 12 cities run by Democrats saw record numbers of murders in 2021, and 2022 has so far not relented from those deadly numbers.

Blaming President Joe Biden’s response to the growing problem.
In February, he met with New York Democrats, who blamed the amount of guns found in New York for the rise in crime.
The President pointed out that Republicans are blocking gun control measures in Congress, allegedly contributing to the continued rise in gun crime.
New York Post He reported that “almost every major category of crime in the city as a whole is on the rise” in 2022, citing police data showing a 35.2 percent increase in crime compared to 2021.
Mail He observed that Democrats in the state continue to relax rules for prosecuting petty crimes in the name of criminal justice.
