Suppressed by Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA) put a 1000 percent tax on AR-15s and other semi-automatic rifles that Democrats call “assault weapons.”
CBS News reported that Beyer’s bill would “push the price of military-grade weapons too high for many potential buyers to reach.”
CBS News also said the bill could pass the Senate with as few as 50 votes, as it is an “revenue measure” that could be brought in “through the negotiation process.”
Washington Times “Congress must take steps to prevent mass shootings. To limit the flow of weapons of warfare to the American population, including AR-15 rifles and high-capacity magazines, I wrote a bill that could bypass crooks and get just 50 votes in the Senate,” Beyer said.
Sometimes Note that if Beyer’s bill passes, it could push AR-15 prices up to $4,000 – $20,000.
