Trump-backed candidates won in Virginia and Alabama, but failed in Georgia

Trump Republican Cathy Britt won the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in Alabama, defeating Republican Representative Mo Brooks. As Breitbart News points out, Britt took the win after the late support of Trump, who arrived on June 10 after the first big race.

Trump said in his statement:

Kathy is an incredible fighter for the people of Alabama. As President and CEO of the Alabama Business Council, Kathy has worked diligently to grow the Alabama economy, create jobs, and restore the Great American Dream. She has the full support and approval of President Jimmy Parnell and the Alabama Farmers Federation.

The proud mother of two beautiful children, Katie is true defenders of the American family along with her wonderful wife, Welsey, who is a star at the University of Alabama and the New England Patriots. Katie strongly supports our beleaguered Second Amendment, champions parental rights, and fights for the integrity of our military, veterans, and elections.
