Expansion of the network of registry offices to 12 new municipalities

The Order of Notaries announced this Saturday the expansion of the network of notaries to 27 locations, including 12 municipalities where this service did not yet exist, with the granting of licenses for the opening of new notaries scheduled for Monday.

“The network of notary offices, which already has 450 notary offices on the peninsula and islands, will be expanded to 27 locations, 12 of them in the interior and islands, where there are no notaries, allowing these populations, often forgotten, access to services without the need to travel to other locations,” says a statement from the Colegio de Escribanos released today.

According to the note, “the inhabitants of Mora, Pampilhosa da Serra, Mêda, Ribeira Grande, Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Vila Franca do Campo, Sardoal, Almodôvar, Torre de Moncorvo, Vila Nova de Paiva, Cuba and Mação will soon be able to do more. easy to request certificates, powers of attorney and signature acknowledgments and access new services such as the national electronic file of deeds”, among other notarial services.

“According to the Notarial Order, more than one million people are served each year in notarial offices that provide essential public services to citizens,” the statement said.

The note adds that “the granting of licenses, within the scope of the 8th public contest”, will be held on July 4, at 11:00 a.m., at the headquarters of the Order of Notaries”, with the presence of the Secretary of State for Justice, Pedro Tavares.
