“We want to have a smaller, more professional, more rigorous State, more capable of responding to problems. But, being smaller, it has to be much more capable, much more competentwhich implies giving the entire public function, starting with officials, the recognition and working conditions that they have not had until now,” he stressed.
At the end of the National Council of the Liberal Initiative (IL), which has been held since this morning in Coimbra, João Cotrim de Figueiredo stressed to the journalists that for this evaluations need to be reintroduced systematicallyas well as progressions based on these assessments.

For João Cotrim de Figueiredo, the PS “is clearly incompetent”.
