In the report, Vulnerable Democratic Representative Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX) previously represented drug traffickers and gang leaders at his law firm in Texas, emphasizing the need for “law and order” before being nominated for Congress.
Representing Texas’ 15th congressional district along its southern border, Gonzalez faces a tough re-election to Rep in the 34th congressional district. Maya Flores (R-TX), who recently won the seat in a special election.
On his campaign website, Gonzalez highlighted his support for investing in “community-based first responders” by maintaining reasonable border security, increased security at our ports, and maintaining more collaborative and accountable relations with Mexico.
Similarly, in June 2018, Gonzalez described himself as a “member of law and order” of Congress in addition to a believer.[s] under conditions of strict border protection. Again, in August 2018, he said he wanted to “secure our border” and make sure “drugs don’t circulate as freely as they do now”.
According to Colleen Anderson of the Washington Free Beacon, Gonzalez founded the law firm V. Gonzalez and Associates in 1997, ahead of her time in Congress, which still operates and appears to bring in tens of thousands of dollars a year for lawmakers.
Gonzalez’s client list includes Richard Contreras, who pleaded guilty to federal drug possession charges after planning to smuggle more than 2,200 pounds of marijuana from Mexico to the United States.
Similarly, in 1999 Gonzalez represented Frank Tigerina, the leader of the “corrupt criminal mafia”, a Texas street gang who was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison on federal drug possession charges for conspiring to distribute marijuana worth nearly $420,000. Tigerina was later convicted of selling large quantities of methamphetamine since 1990.
“In total, Gonzalez agreed to represent a group of drug traffickers conspiring to distribute eight pounds of MDMA, about half a pound of cocaine, and 4,000 pounds of marijuana worth millions of dollars,” he said on Free Beacon.
Gonzalez’s campaign did not respond to Free Beacon’s request for comment, despite citing his background as a lawyer.
The problem may then lie in Gonzalez’s campaign against Flores. During her short time in Congress, Flores gained a lot of attention after First Lady Jill Biden compared Hispanics to breakfast tacos.
In an exclusive interview with Breitbart Texas, Flores said:[Democrats] He wants me to go back to Mexico, citing comments he received from Democrats, which he calls “hypocrisy.”
On the lady’s recovery, Biden said, “Flores[Democrats] They think people will vote for them just by looking at their faces… They think people will vote for them because they’re handing out tacos… People will no longer vote for them just because they’re handing out tacos or playing tacos. music… And I think they will understand in November.”
In fiscal year 2021, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), headed by President Joe Biden, achieved 1,066 percent increases in fentanyl and 98 percent increases in cocaine at eight south Texas ports of entry.
DHS agents seized 41,713 kilos of marijuana, 8,592 kilos of cocaine, 33,777 kilos of methamphetamine, 1,215 kilos of heroin, 588 kilos of fentanyl, 463 firearms and 84,863 rounds of ammunition in fiscal 2021.
The massive drug seizure on Texas’ southern border is linked to a surge in illegal immigration ahead of Biden. Gonzalez is campaigning for an amnesty for all 11 million to 22 million illegal aliens currently living in the United States, a plan that will further increase record levels of illegal immigration.
From February 2021 to May 2022, Biden’s DHS sent more than a million cross-border and illegal immigrants to American communities – a foreign population double the population of Wyoming in Austin, Texas and the population of Atlanta, Georgia.
In a recent Rasmussen Reports poll, a majority of prospective US voters said they thought the illegal immigration situation continued to worsen, with 73 percent citing immigration as an important issue before the midterms.
