Like the rest of the PS summits, he considers the conflict between Pedro Nuno Santos and António Costa closed —at least publicly— and takes the opportunity to place the responsibility for the decision on the Lisbon airport on the PSD. But in an interview on the Vichyssoise program on radio Observador, Francisco César, vice president of the PS caucus (and close to Pedro Nuno), also defends what he considers to be one of the best ministers this government can count on, and who He says that he does not come out weakened from a situation that was not “pleasant”.
Contrary to the idea that the Government is worn out – it is rather an Executive that has been in “emergency mode” for a long time – it attacks a PSD that says it wants to “withdraw” passismo. Curiously, an idea similar to that of his father, Carlos César, closed the PSD congress; Francisco César says he is “proud” of this family connection but acknowledges that they do not think exactly the same, especially since he is “a little” further to the left, within the PS, than his father.
