Commenting on the growing crisis on Monday night’s primetime GB News programme, Farage said the British government was to blame.
Farage said it was “getting harder for the French police” to seize many of the beaches where smugglers sail, and said the area of their operation had expanded to about 60 miles from the coastal area.
“If the French authorities are to protect more than 60 miles of French coast, they will need ten or 20,000 soldiers on the beaches, which is now nearly impossible,” he said.
