On the revenue side, the DGO highlights the estimated impact associated with the extension of VAT payment on the amount of 264.1 million euros and the extraordinary limitation of payments on account in the IRS or IRC, for an amount of 33.7 million of euros
Regarding spending, the DGO highlights the expenses incurred in the health sector, which amounted to 794 million euros, specifically with the acquisition of vaccines, tests on Covid-19 and related to human resources, as well as spending on support measures for companies and employment (549.9 million euros), with emphasis on the Activate program (226.6 million euros), the promotion of standardization (118 million euros) and compensation for the increase in the value of the national minimum wage (71.7 million of euros).
The organization also mentions family income support (446.2 million euros), highlighting the support associated with prophylactic isolation (234.1 million euros), extraordinary support for workers’ income (75.9 million euros) and sickness benefit (64.3 million of euros).
“In the absence of expenses associated with measures in the field of Covid-19, the effective expenditure of the Public Administrations would have increased 2.2% and primary expenses 2.9%compared to the previous year (instead of variations of +0.3% and +0.8%, respectively)”, indicates the DGO.
