The Minister of Health, Manuel Pizarro, thanked this Thursday the professionals who work in the National Health Service (SNS) and expressed his confidence in the SNS, in a message broadcast on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the SNS.
“September 15, when the anniversary of the SNS is celebrated, should be a moment of evocation, gratitude and reaffirmation,” says Manuel Pizarro, in a video message published on the website of the Central Administration of the Health System (ACSS) . ).
The new Minister of Health said that the founder of the SNS, António Arnaut, should be mentioned, “whose vision and generosity the country and the Portuguese owe so much“.
“Thanks to the professionals of the SNS, those who guarantee the protection of the health of all Portuguese every day. Reaffirmation of our confidence in the SNS, in its future and in its deepening, a public service at the service of all, a public service that we will continue to defend”, says Manuel Pizarro.
Manuel Pizarro has been in office for about a week, replacing Marta Temido, who resigned when she understood that she “could no longer” hold the position.
