As part of the FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, Liverpool won the FA Cup by beating the Blues 6–5 on penalties after the match ended in regular and extra time in a goalless draw between the two teams.

Many numbers have been achieved with this title, most notably:

– Jurgen Klopp became the first German manager to win the FA Cup, won his sixth league title with Liverpool and also collected all available titles.

Liverpool have won their 67th championship as the club with the most trophies in England.

Liverpool have won the eighth FA Cup in their history: 1964–65, 1973–74, 1985–86, 1988–89, 1991–92, 2000–01, 2005–06, 2021–22.

Chelsea are the first team to lose both domestic finals in the same season since Middlesbrough in 1996/97.

Jürgen Klopp is the first manager in Liverpool history to win the Premier League, Champions League, League Cup and FA Cup, the first German manager to win the Premier League, the first German manager to win the FA Cup.

– Chelsea became the first club in the history of the FA Cup to lose 3 consecutive finals and are considered the most losing club in the finals of this tournament, equaling Manchester United and Everton (8).
