French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has expressed his enthusiasm for winning the Champions League in his first season at the Royal Club.

Real Madrid will take on Liverpool in the Champions League final to crown a league title missing since 2018, when Royal beat the Reds also in the Kiev final.

“There is no candidate to win the final,” Camavinga told French network Telefoot. “Liverpool are very strong and it will be a very special final for me in front of my family.”

He added, “They warned me that the first year here was tough, I was patient with my challenges and kept working to prove myself.”

And about his presence next to colleague Karim Benzema, the team’s star and top scorer: “To see Benzema and be with him every day is crazy, what he does is really crazy, it helps us a lot.”

He concluded: “When we won the Super, we celebrated on the pitch and then in the dressing room, that was normal, and that’s how it was after winning the League, so that’s the mentality of champions.”
