A banner raised by some Liverpool fans in support of Colombian Luis Díaz, forward of the ‘Reds’, unleashed a storm of criticism, ahead of the Champions League finals.
The banner featured Diaz’s image and the Liverpool logo, and read: “Only the best of Colombia can pass through Liverpool customs!”, Referring to Colombia’s notoriety for drug trafficking and smuggling.
Excellent. Twice you were able to insult Luis Díaz’s country. By misspelling Colombia and stereotyping the country as a drug-ridden country because you get all your cultural lessons from Narcos. https://t.co/AjzPqBYnqT

This caused a lot of criticism on social media, where one user wrote on Twitter, “With all due respect, this is a stereotype Diaz will hate,” while another commented, “I just hope Luis (Díaz) doesn’t see it. ”!”
It should be noted that Luis Díaz, 25, joined the Liverpool ranks in January from Portuguese club Porto for 37 million pounds, and scored 6 goals and 5 assists in 25 games.
The Colombian striker shines wonderfully at Liverpool, and seeks to lead the ‘Reds’ to win the Champions League, the ‘Champions League’, the most expensive titles on the old continent, at the expense of Real Madrid.
