Moroccan reports have shown that the Confederation of African Football has issued 2022 African Champions League champion Widada severe warnings after it failed to settle the case of financial player Suleiman Sissoko.
According to the Moroccan website Le360 Sport, Wydad Casablanca received a letter from the Confederation of African Football about a complaint filed by Sissoko, a former team player.
Sissoko obtained a decision from the International Court of Sports against the Moroccan Widad due to his late payment of financial contributions to the club, and the Casablanca club was obliged to pay these contributions.
A Moroccan website has confirmed that Moroccan Wydad are being threatened with not participating in the next African Champions League due to a decision received by Malian player Suleiman Sissoko.
The African Football Confederation confirmed in a previous statement that it would exclude any team from the continental championships in the event of any unresolved litigation against them.
