The English striker has appointed a group of 10 Egyptian lawyers to defend his interests in the case, which will take place on July 7 next year at the Mansoura Economic Court.
Rashford, an Egyptian student, has been accused of bullying, slander and racism, as well as threats and intimidation, and is seeking monetary compensation.
An adversarial hearing took place on Thursday and, according to the plaintiff’s lawyer Syed Salameh, there was no material evidence against him.
News spread on social media in recent hours mocked the Egyptian public for what Rashford had done and they declared their support for their country’s son against the English player.
The move has been repeated in England due to the mistreatment of players through social media platforms and the exposure of fans nambu-bullying them.
