Portuguese coach Josefaldo Ferreira confirmed that his team was the best in the summit against Al Ahly and that he deserved to win against them, not a draw.

The two teams drew 2–2 in the Egyptian league’s postponed twentieth week match, leaving Zamalek at the top of the league table with 45 points, 4 points ahead of Al Ahli who were 3 games short.

Ferreira pointed out that they entered the match late and the performance improved over time. In the second half they beat Al Ahly but retreated after a goal by Shikabala, believing they could have won with the many chances they created, but luck missed them.

He added that he spoke to the players to motivate them between halves of the match and confirm their ability to win.

Ferreira concluded his statement by emphasizing that what Zamalek presented was something to be proud of, especially that he performed in front of a team as strong as Al Ahly, which includes an outstanding group of players and a strong technical staff.
