Tripoli FC achieved their goal this season and was able to stay in the first division after the successful march of the northern team under the leadership of coach Osama Al-Sakra, who left the club at the end of the season and went to the capital Beirut to lead the technical staff of the Al-Burj club , replacing coach Fuad Hegazy.

The captain of the Tripoli club, Ahmed Maghribi, in an interview with the electronic newspaper Al-Sport, highly appreciated the work that Al-Sager did with the Northern Capital club this season.

Maghrebi said: “The season ended well for Tripoli. We have achieved our goal of staying in the first division and it looks like next season will be more intense and competitive among all teams.”

He added about coach Osama Al Saqr: “Coach Osama left a positive mark from the first day he took on the task of coaching the team. He was able to build a good and exceptional relationship with the players and he was able to create a good combination on a technical level that contributed to positive results and important points that helped us survive.”

Maghrebi continued, “It’s true that we lost Coach Osama as a coach, but we gained him as a brother and a link to us, and we wish him well in his next career with Al Borg.”

Regarding his future, Maghrebi clarified that he has not yet decided whether he will continue to play with the Tripoli club or whether he will hang up his shoes.

On the other hand, Maghrebi sent a message to the curators in Tripoli, inviting them from our podium to support the club.

In this context, he said: “This club is a historic city, the city of Tripoli, and I wish that President Najib Mikati will support this club in order to maintain its resilience and continuity in light of the difficult conditions that the country is in.”

He continued: “This club includes a large number of players, coaches and staff who make a living from this. We all need to work to protect this club that represents our region and I hope my message reaches those who are affected.”

He concluded by saying: “Hopefully Tripoli will be among the clubs that grant players their rights next season and that we provide a higher level worthy of the city’s name and heritage.”
