Qatari club Al Khor have announced the appointment of Brazilian Sergio Farias as the team’s coach for the new football season 2022-2023.
Farias will lead Al Khor next season in second division competition after relegation last season, finishing in last twelfth place in the standings with 16 points.
The Brazilian coach managed Qatari side Umm Salal last season before his departure after the end of the seventh round of the league.
It is worth noting that Sergio won many titles with many teams and teams, for example, he won the World Youth Championship in 1997 with Brazil, and he also won the Korean League title with Pohang in 2007 and the cup championship the following year.
The Brazilian coach also won the Korean PCL Cup in 2009 and managed to crown the same team with the AFC Champions League title in the same season, as well as finishing third in the 2009 World Cup.
According to the FIFA statistics committee, the Brazilian Sergio was recognized as the best coach in Asia in 2009 and fourteenth in the world.
