The Mediterranean Games 2022, which will be held in the Algerian city of Oran, will last from June 24 to July 6, and will be attended by about 3,390 athletes from 24 countries.

Italy managed to climb to the top of the standings after the competition on Monday and two days before the end of the competition with 147 different medals, including 44 gold medals, two gold medals behind Turkey, which came in second with just 103 medals, and in third place is France, which won 77 different medals, including 20 gold medals.

As for Algeria, it is in fourth place with 52 different medals, including 20 gold medals, and tops the ranking of Arab countries.

For its part, Egypt climbed to sixth overall and second in the Arab world with 49 medals, including 13 gold, 14 silver and 22 bronze medals.
