Bitcoin surged during trading on Tuesday, bringing the global market value of cryptocurrencies to over $900 billion once again, while markets remain volatile due to fears of a collapse in crypto assets.
Bitcoin rose 2.01% to $20,200.25 at 1037 GMT, according to data from Coinpass, while the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, Ethereum, also rose 3.10% to $1,155.12, while Ripple surged to 1155.12.33 cents.
According to CoinMarketCap, the capitalization of the global cryptocurrency market has grown over the past day by 5.76% to $913.95 billion.
Cryptocurrency lender Fold announced yesterday that it will temporarily suspend all withdrawals and deposits on its platform while it explores potential restructuring options. Since June 12, customers have withdrawn more than $197.7 million from the platform.
